James Kardaras has been a member of the Parish Council from 2000 to 2006, and 2007 to present, and has previoulsy served on its Executive Committee as Corresponding Secretary.
He has served as a coach for the St. Andrew Junior and Senior Boys GOYA Basketball teams.
Jim chaired the Public Relations Team for the St. Andrew 40th Anniversary Committee.
He is currently the Director of underwriting Crime Insurance and Fidelity Bonding nationally at Nationwide Insurance. James has experience in underwriting at the largest insurers, as well as insurance brokerage with the largest insurance brokerage firm, Marsh & McLennan Companies, where he served as Center of Excellence nationally and globally regarding Fidelity / Fraud & Electronic Crime insurance, and Special Risk. James also has experience in handling Management & Professional Liability insurance lines (Directors & Officers, Errors & Omissions, Fiduciary, Employment Practices), Kidnap/Ransom & Extortion, Trade Credit, and Commercial & Contract Surety.
Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from New York University in 1983, and attended New York Law School from 1983-1985.
He resides now in Bridgewater, NJ, with his wife Sarah. His three children – Eric, Liana, and Faith, have attended Sunday School at St. Andrew, with Eric having been a member of GOYA and the Boys basketball teams. Eric is now a freshman at Rutgers University, and Liana and Faith are sophomores at Morristown High School.
Jim participates in the Risk & Insurance Management Society (NY and NJ); the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and the New York University Alumni Association.
